Reservations: It is best to plan a couple of weeks in advance to obtain services on the dates you desire. An in-home consultation is required, prior to reservations, for all new clients. While we can tentatively pencil in your dates, we must meet you and your pets and access your needs before we make a commitment to providing your pets’ care. Please be sure to complete the online client and pet profiles for this initial visit. 

As a first-time client, you agree to pay a 50% deposit at the time of the consultation visit and that the remaining balance is due by the first visit. For future service periods you agree that payment is due in full by the first visit of that scheduled service. 

 

Keys: Your 4 Legged Pet Service will obtain 2 copies of your house key during the initial visit. We require that the key remain on file with Your 4 Legged Pet Service for convenience in future use of our services. If you're unable to make copies due to your apartment building’s guidelines we will make other arrangements in order to service you. If you request that we do not hold keys, there is a $10 fee for pick up and drop off of keys.

 

Holidays: Holiday seasons are hectic for everyone - make your reservations early! Holidays are: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. There will be a 25% non-refundable deposit of the total bill due upon reservation for services during the holiday periods. Holiday periods are the week before and after the exact holiday. 

 

“Comfort Calls”: You may call or text Your 4 Legged Pet Service at (860) 461-4566 between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily to check on your pet during your absence. 

 

Extended Absence: In the event you must be away longer than planned it is mandatory that we hear from you! Your pets’ well-being depends on our communication! 

 

Inclement Weather: Primarily severe storms, hurricanes, snow/ice conditions etc. You will entrust Your 4 Legged Pet Service to use best judgment in caring for your pets(s) and home if we are servicing you at the time of inclement weather. Your 4 Legged Pet Service will try to follow your instructions to the best of Your 4 Legged Pet Service’s ability. The care we provide to our customer’s pets and their safety is our first concern. The inclement weather plan will be as follows: 1) Every effort will be made to get to your home; 2) The service schedule may be changed, interrupted, or altered due to circumstances; 3) If is not possible to get safely to your home, your emergency contact will be notified, 4) You will be notified that the above-mentioned contingency plan has been activated.

 

Unplanned fees: There will be a $20.00 surcharge as well as reimbursement if we must restock depleted supplies – it is your responsibility to provide more than adequate amounts of food, litter, medications, flea products and any other items needed for complete care of your pets. 

 

Cancellations

            Vacation Policy:

Cancellations may be made up to 5 days in advance of your scheduled service. Any deposits made during non-holiday periods will be credited to your account. If canceling less than 5 days prior to the first day of your scheduled service period, the fees will be as follows:

    25% of the total service fee will be charged during non-holiday periods.

    50% of the total service fee will be charged during holiday periods.  

If you arrive home early from vacation, you have the right to decide if you wish Your 4 Legged Pet Service to continue to care for your pets or not, but you understand that FULL payment is still due as Your 4 Legged Pet Service has reserved this time slot to care for your pets.

         

            Daily Plan Policy:

Five days’ notice will receive a full credit for the day

Four days’ notice will receive a 50% credit for the day

Less than four days’ notice will not receive a credit for the day

 

 

Payments: Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.  

Returned checks: Client agrees to pay a $40 fee for each check returned by the client’s bank regardless of the reason
