Pet Care Agreement

This agreement is entered into by and between Happy Paws LLC and the Client.  Happy Paws LLC provides pet care services for Client’s dog(s) and/or cat(s) and by signing this contact, Client agrees to the terms below. 

Client agrees to pay Happy Paws LLC for all services agreed upon within five (5) days of receiving an invoice at the end of service (for temporary/vacation services) or at the end of each month (for on-going services).  Payment may be made online through our secure website via PayPal, credit card, or direct debit to a checking account. A late fee of $10 will be charged if payment is not received within 10 days, and a return payment charge of $30 will be charged for any payment returned, whether by check or credit card.

Pet care providers working for Happy Paws LLC will follow client’s instructions regarding the care and general routine for their pet(s).  All laws, such as leash laws and proper disposal of pet waste will be carefully observed.  In the event that a back-up pet care provider, or a change in primary provider, is needed, Happy Paws will arrange an alternate provider only with prior permission from Client.  Client has the right to a consultation with the new/substitute provider and may request a new provider at any time.

Client will be notified immediately in the case of an animal emergency or sickness. In the event that the Client cannot be contacted, the Client’s veterinarian shall be notified. All veterinary bills that may occur from the above shall be the sole responsibility of the Client. 

Client will provide key(s) and any necessary access codes to the pet care provider who will properly secure such items until the Client requests their return. There will be an additional $15 charge if Happy Paws must pick up of drop off the keys before or after the next service session.  Keys will only be returned in person to the Client, the Client’s authorized representative, or by certified mail/return receipt requested.  Happy Paws will not “leave” the key at the last visit of a session.

Happy Paws’ insurance company shall be wholly liable for all claims of injury, death, or damage/loss to Client’s pet(s) or property. Client agrees to waive and release Happy Paws and/or its representatives from any claim for injury, loss, and/or death of Client’s pet(s) and from any claim for loss and/or damage to Client’s property including, but not limited to, that caused by Client’s pet(s). Client agrees to be responsible for any claim for injury, loss, and/or death of a Happy Paws representative caused by Client’s pet(s) and/or Client’s property. Client agrees to be responsible for any damages done at home of any Happy Paws representative by Client’s pet(s) at time of overnight care in representative’s home.

Any dissatisfaction with Happy Paws’ service and/or request for refund must be done within 15 days of completion of service.  Refunds will be determined between the Client and Happy Paws, and shall be reasonable given the total cost of service.

Client agrees to give Happy Paws one weeks’ notice should Client decide to discontinue or cancel service. If Client does not give Happy Paws LLC one (1) weeks’ notice, Client agrees to compensate Happy Paws LLC for what would have been the total for up to one (1) week’s care.  Happy Paws LLC agrees that should Client discontinue service due to blatantly poor care/service from walker for any reason, then this one (1) week notice addendum will not be enforced by Happy Paws LLC.
